Long-Term 

Project Purple

Project Purple is an initiative of The Herren Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation established by former NBA basketball player, Chris Herren, that assists individuals and families struggling with addiction. Project Purple was launched to break the stigma of addiction, bring awareness to the dangers of substance abuse and shed light on effective treatment practices.

Preschool Advantage

​Preschool Advantage is an organization in Morris County, NJ that provides funding for a quality preschool education for families in need of financial aid. The ultimate goal of preschool advantage are to give every child the opportunity to receive a great preschool education, regardless of one's financial background. Key Clubbers can volunteer their time in various ways to support this organization.

Your Grandmother's Cupboard

 

Your Grandmother's Cupboard is a non-profit organization established by people who recognize the needs of the homeless and working poor in our communities. The Cupboard was established to provide some of these basic needs through local donations. Many people living in poverty often do not have access to transportation to visit thrift shops and pantries. People can donate clothing, shoes, blankets, and personal care items to this organization, and the organization brings the items to where they are most needed. 

Students Change Hunger

​The advocacy focus of NJ Key Club is hunger in the U.S. NJ Key Club is advocating for Students Change Hunger, a service organization dedicated to ending hunger in NJ. The organization is hosting a statewide food drive competition between all the schools in NJ to see who can collect the most nonperishable food items. The winner receives prizes!

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Established in 1983, this organization aims to increase funds and awareness for local children's hospitals in an effort to save kids' lives. Our hospital is the Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ. All the money we raise for this project will go to this hospital. Also, Key Clubbers can volunteer at 9 different locations throughout NJ.

PROJECTS

The Eliminate Project

Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of mothers each year. This year's goal for NJ Key Club is to raise $109,325.15. The overall international goal is to raise $110 million to provide vaccinations to everyone in need around the world.

Hope's Promise

This is a therapeutic and able-bodied riding program that offers a full experience of equine activities to match the ability of each individual. Key Clubbers can volunteer on Saturdays to help out the animals.
